January 9th - Ballet Be Fit  

Kate Broughton from Kate’s School of Dance will guide us through an exercise class based upon classical ballet techniques to promote flexibility and improve posture and muscle tone.
Also, WI Resolution discussion and vote.

February 6th - Surrey Search and Rescue

Local volunteers, Lucy and Roger Nield, tell us what the Surrey section of the UK’s Lowland Rescue Service offers and share stories of training and real life experiences.

March 6th -A Little Birdie Told Me

Hannah Lane is an accomplished speaker for the RSPB and a trustee of Horsell Common who helped set up the new Wetlands Centre and will speak to us about her passion for garden birds

pril 3rd - Cake Pops and Party Treats

Ottershaw’s own Sophie Winship will be showing us how to create spectacular cake pops and other party treats.

May 1st - The Plight of Bees

Lorraine from Surrey Bees will explain how habitat loss and pesticides are threatening our bees.

May 11th - SFWI Centenary Party

To celebrate 100 years of Surrey Federation there will be an evening party at Chertsey Hall with refreshments and entertainment.

Join us for a mystery summer social event come rain or shine.

July 3rd - British Wildlife in Photos

Ian Rentoul, a former military aviation photographer, will share his love of British wildlife and shows us some of his amazing photographs.

September 4th - Dan the Fireman

Local fireman Dan Pearson will impart some fire safety advice and regale us with anecdotes of his life in the service.

October 2nd - Women in WWI

Peter Batty’s interactive presentation will seek to involve the audience in an exploration of women’s contribution to the war effort

October 16th - Runnymede Group Autumn Meeting - A Fun Look at British Eccentrics

It is our turn to host the Runnymede Group autumn meeting. Susan Howe will celebrate our love of eccentricity and talks about some famous examples of true British eccentrics (meeting starts at 7.30 - £3 entry fee for all).

November 6th - Annual Meeting

The yearly review of our WI and selection of officers plus voting for our chosen charity for the next two years.

December 4th  - Christmas Party

Dress up for a fabulous social evening to celebrate the festive season.
