February 7th - My experience on The Apprentice

Iftikhar Chaudhri, ex-police officer and deputy Mayor of Runnymede, will be talking about his time on
Series 3 of The Apprentice in 2007.


March 7th - Blessed are the Cheesemaker

John Pearson, international cheese judge and ex-M&S dairy produce buyer, will entertain us with anecdotes
from his time in the industry and will finish with some tutored cheese-tasting!


March 15th (Wednesday) - Runnymede Group Meeting

April 1st (Saturday) - Day trip to WI Fair

Leading on from the success of the WI Centennial Fair in Harrogate, this year the Fair will be at Alexandra Palace.
We plan to organise a coach to attend if enough want to go.

April 4th - Cheerleading

Angela from Dancing Shoes Dance School will join us for a fun filled evening teaching us some
cheerleading routines which will be suitable for beginners! Pom poms provided!


May 2nd - Lost buildings of Runnymede

A member of Chertsey Museum will join us to talk about the origins and history of large country
buildings within the area.


June 6th - Ascot themed social evening

Social evening with horse related games. Homemade hat competition. More details to follow.


July 4th - Julia Cameron, 19th Century Photographer of Genius

Dr Judith Hill will be joining us to talk about this pioneering photographer who discovered her craft
late in life but became an influential figure in the art form.

September 5th - Battersea dogs home……past and present

A volunteer from the famous home that has been caring for animals for more than 150 years
will be joining us to tell some tall tales about the animals they care for.


October 3rd - A Tale of Two Oceans

Chris Martin is a record-setting ocean rower who is now dedicated to giving others the same
opportunities he had. He will be talking to us about his adventures at sea.

to show us some tricks and tell tales of the elusive magic circle.
